My Weight Loss Journey

The summer of 2008, I was struggling. A 3 year old, a 9 month old and a 60 lb pregnancy weight gain. I could NOT get the weight off.  I hired a personal trainer and spent $3000 for a 3 lb weight loss. 



Then I found a pure, plant based supplement system with a handful of supplements that I incorporated into my regular diet ( I had given up on exercise).  When I lost 3 lbs the first month WITHOUT TRYING, I got excited! I went on to lose another 29 lbs over the next two months and dropped 8 pant sizes!!  



The boys are 12 and 15 in this picture and you can see that the weight stayed off as we all continue to use the plant system that has gotten us off of all prescription medications and helped with sleep issues, allergies, depression, pain and constipation BUT as I hit my mid- 40s I started noticing the weight creeping back on. I have never had an issue working out, I have a Peloton, a gym membership and I was working out at an INTENSE sprint interval/row/weight workout class 2-3 times per week, but it wasn't working.  The weight started creeping back on and NOTHING seemed to be working.


Monday, January 11th, 2021 I made a decision to go all in and make a drastic change.  I DETOXED for 7 days using this system, then for the next 4 weeks I continued the Detox but also incorporated a carb cycling routine that included high amounts of grains like oatmeal, quinoa, brown rice, sweet potatoes and Ezekiel bread, fruits like mango, blueberries and strawberries, meats like chicken, salmon, filets and NY strip.  The key was the timing/when I eat what I eat and (this is important) NO DAIRY & NO ALCOHOL.

I am eating ALL THE TIME and it is WORKING!! 


On Valentines Day, I took two weeks off for vacation and did not restrict my diet at all, I only gained 2 lbs.  3/1/2021 I got right back to the Detox and carb cycling program but added a 20-30 minute per day fitness routine.  The results are AMAZING, I feel great and cannot wait to see what happens over the next 4 weeks.  This is an eating plan that I can stick to a for a long, long time.
